ZLTO is an association of farmers active in the provinces of Zeeland, Noord-Brabant and Gelderland in The Netherlands with a membership of 15.000 farmers

ZLTO is one of the three regional farmers organisations who together form the National Dutch Farmers Organisation LTO Nederland, with 50.000 members. The organisation aims to enhance the social and economic situation of farmers through representation, lobby, training, individual support and counselling of the members. ZLTO has a department for association and counselling service and 3 departments for lobby and project activities: ‘Environment & Society’, ‘Market & supply chain development’ and ‘Entrepreneurial Skills’.

These services currently employ 80 consultants and 30 project managers in any possible field of innovation in the agricultural sector (innovative co-operatives, renewable energy, sustainable plant and animal production techniques, short supply chains, multifunctional agriculture, diversification, nature and landscape services etc.) providing support to groups of farmers, in project management, courses, trainings, development of new products and services as well as tailor made support at an individual entrepreneurial level.

Dissemination is organised in various ways such as trainings, meetings, events, individual counselling and is communicated through various communication channels (such as our own weekly magazine for all members, our website with daily news items and weekly digital newsletters to all members), and communication channels of others, such as specialized magazines, websites etc.
